Lugworm - inny & outy signs
The pattern of the cast and the depression (blow hole) is characteristic of the Blow Lug Arenicola marina.
The other lugworm species on Norfolk shores produces a much more tightly wound cast with the depressionnear the centre of the mound. Arenicola defodiens and has a preference for being near the low tide mark.
